ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Wirt County Board of Education will be accepting sealed bids for the upcoming Wirt County Schools Carpet and VCT Tile Installation Project. A sealed bid must be hand-delivered to: Wirt County Board of Education, 389 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, WV 26143, or mailed to Wirt County Board of Education, 189 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, West Virginia by 11:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2020. The required completion date for the project is Friday, July 31, 2020. Bids must be labeled “Wirt County Schools Carpet and VCT Tile Installation Project”. The Wirt County Board of Education reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids.

The project specifications include the following:
1. Armstrong VCT Tile or equivalent quality to be
provided and installed in the following areas:
Wirt County Primary Center Administrative Offices
and Kitchen Area, Wirt County Middle School Backdoor
Commons Area, Wirt County High School Teacher’s
Work Room and Classrooms 201, 202 A and B,
204, 301, 303, and 304
2. Mohawk 26 ounce nylon roll carpet will be provided and
installed in the Wirt County Primary Center
Conference Room
3. Mohawk carpet tiles or equivalent quality will be
provided and installed in the following areas:
Wirt County Middle School two Administrative Offices
and Conference Room
4. Clean and prep the floor for new VCT
5. Furnish and install Armstrong VCT tile or
equivalent quality, 4″ cove base, and transitions
6. Demo existing carpet
7. Will furnish and install Mohawk carpet tiles or equivalent
quality in designated rooms, 4″ cove base, and transitions
8. Will furnish and install 26 ounce Mohawk nylon roll
carpet or equivalent quality in designated rooms, 4″
cove base, transitions, and carpet pad (if needed)
9. Remove old carpet as needed
10. Provide adhesives as needed
11. Dispose of all debris and haul away
Checklist for Bidding; includes the following:
1. Provide copy of liability insurance
2. Provide copy of WV Worker’s Compensation coverage
3. Business License
4. Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit
5. Complete W-9
6. Complete No Debt Affidavit
7. If bid is over $25,000 (bond will be required)
