The Wood County Solid Waste Authority will be accepting sealed bids for the construction of a wooden cover for the dump bins at the Parkersburg Recycling Center.

 

Detailed specifications may be obtained in the Office of the Director, 1014 Volcano Road, Waverly, West Virginia. Please call ahead for open office hours at 304-615-9801. Bid Specifications may also be emailed or mailed by US Postal Service upon request by calling the same phone number.

NOTICE OF TRUSTEE’S SALE is hereby given pursuant to and by virtue of the authority vested in the Substitute Trustee, WV Trustee Services, LLC, by that certain Deed of Trust dated April 17, 2008, executed by Borrowers, Cathy D Somervill and Darrin W Somervill, to David G. The Wood County Board of Education, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the Additions and Renovations To Wood County Technical and Career Center according to Bidding Documents prepared by ZMM, Inc. Architects and Engineers. Sealed bids will be received at the offices of the Owner, 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 until 1:30 p.m., local time, on February 26, 2019 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read.

 

A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:30 p.m. local time, on February 12, 2019 at the Wood County Technical and Career Center, 1515 Blizzard Drive, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Attendance at pre-bid conference is mandatory for prime contract bidders only. [Bidders for Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing are not required to attend.]

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

 

Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids in order for his Bid to be considered. Each Bidderás registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal.

Notice is hereby given that the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia, will on the 14thday of February, 2019 at 10 o’clock a.m., in the Courtroom of the Wood County Courthouse, located in the City of Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia; hear the application and petition of the City of Parkersburg, for the annexation of territories to the City of Parkersburg by Minor Boundary Adjustment.  The territories sought to be annexed to the City of Parkersburg are hereinafter described by metes and bounds.

 

Any person having objections to such annexation, or desiring to be heard, may appear at the aforementioned time and place to be heard.

 

The territories to be annexed to the City of Parkersburg are situated in the Magisterial District of Tygart District, County of Wood and State of West Virginia, and are more particularly described as follows:
