PUBLIC NOTICE
The Wood-Washington-Wirt Interstate Planning Commission (WWW-IPC) is a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) that has prepared a Draft Long Range Transportation Plan for the study area that includes Wood County, WV, and the Townships of Newport, Fearing, Warren, Muskingum, Dunham, Marietta, and Belpre in Washington County, OH. The plan is mandated by Federal transportation legislation which requires MPO’s to develop plans and programs that address specific planning factors identified in the legislation. The plans are required to have a twenty planning horizon, address multi-modal transportation issues, and maintain fiscal constraint over the planning period. In accordance with the WWW-IPC public involvement procedures two public meetings have been scheduled. The meetings will be held in an âopen houseã format where the public can review information anytime between 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. The first meeting will be on December 5, 2016 at the Washington County Library located at 615 5th Street in Marietta. The second meeting will be held in the office of the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council located 531 Market Street in Parkersburg. If you are not able to attend but would like to review and/or comment, the document is available on the WWW-IPC website at www.triplew.org. All comments will need to be received by 2:30 pm on December 19, 2016. The WWW-IPC Policy Board will be requested to approve a final document at a quarterly meeting on December 21, 2016.
