ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Wood County Board of Education, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for HVAC Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing for the New Williamstown Elementary School. Sealed bids will be received at the offices of the Owner, 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia 26101, until 2:30 pm, local time, on January 28, 2020 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read.
This project will be constructed under the following single prime contract:
1. Bid Package TAB Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Contract
Bidding Documents can be obtained by the following method:
1. Prime Contract Bidders only may contact ZMM, Inc. Architects and Engineers at (304) 342-0159 and request information to access the firm’s online F.T.P. site for HVAC Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing for the Williamstown Elementary School project. Once access is gained, Contractors can download Bidding Documents in the form of PDF files at no charge. Requests for access to documents must be made by telephone, and those requests received through mail, email, fax transmission, or other online communications will not receive a response.
2. Hard Copies may be obtained from Charleston Blueprint (304-343-1063) by General Contractors, Subcontractors, material suppliers and dealers by paying the actual cost of printing, binding and mailing; however such cost is not refundable.
Bidding documents may be examined at Viewing Depositories listed in the Bidding Documents.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 60 days after opening bids.
The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the Owner within 10 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond utilizing the bond forms bound in the Project Manual each in a penal sum equal to at least the contract sum and the cost of such bonds shall be included in the bid.
Contractors shall comply with all applicable national and state codes and regulations listed in the SBA Supplemental, General and Special Conditions
Pursuant to Chapter 21-Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State, the Contractor’s WV License number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction contracts and agreements.
