ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES

The Wood County Airport Authority is soliciting consulting engineering services for a series of projects to be undertaken at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport over the next five years. These projects, which may be funded in part by grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and the West Virginia Aeronautics Commission, include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
Environmental Assessments, obstruction removal to insure clearance of FAA Part 77 approach surfaces and TERPS approach surfaces and the capability to do follow on airspace evaluation in accordance with FAA Advisory Circulars 150/5300-16, -17, -18, electrical upgrades, design and construct runway taxi-way and ramp rehabilitation in accordance with FAA Advisory Circulars, design and build box and âTã hangars, design, construct and rehabilitate additional vehicular parking.
In addition to all necessary planning services, the basic architectural/engineering services being solicited include all design development, construction documentation, bidding / contract administration and construction administration services required to execute this project schedule. The successful consultant shall also provide either internally, or through qualified sub-consultants, all special services required to complete each project. These services include, but are not limited to surveying, mapping, environmental evaluation, materials testing, quality control and resident construction observation.
Interested parties should submit eight copies of a interest and qualifications package for comparative evaluation (limited to 30 pages), addressing the following items in general, and specifically, as appropriate, as they relate to the first two items on the above projects listing: (1) capability to perform all aspects of the projects listed herein; (2) recent experience with comparable airport projects; (3) track record of insuring compliance with FAA Circulars (4) reputation for personal and professional integrity and competence; (5) evidence that the consultant has established and implemented an Affirmative Action Program (6) professional background and availability of key personnel who will work on the projects; (7) current workload and ability to meet schedules and deadlines; (8) qualifications and experience of sub-consultants regularly engaged by the prime consultant; (9) quality of projects previously undertaken; (10) familiarity with and proximity to the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport; (11) capability to furnish qualified observers during the construction phases of the projects.

The Authority intends to develop a pre-selection list of up to three firms and thereafter conduct either in-person interviews to determine the firm deemed to be most appropriately qualified to do the work.
