MID-OHIO VALLEY

REGIONAL AIRPORT

PARKERSBURG,

WEST VIRGINIA

 

SEALED BIDS for the TOPPING OF TREES in the vicinity of the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport will be received at the Airport’s Terminal Building, 543 Airport Rd Williamstown, WV 26187, until 10:00 AM EST, Friday, April 6, 2018 and immediately thereafter will be publicly opened in the Conference Room of the Terminal Building. Bids submitted after the bid closing time shall not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bids are to include the furnishing of all material and performance of labor as required to complete the work. No Bid or any portion thereof may be withdrawn after the date and time specified above for the receipt of bids and during the ensuing thirty (30) days thereafter.

 

The work associated with the topping of trees generally consists of removing approximately 30 to 40 feet from approximately 45 trees. The trees are located off the airport property approximately 1 to 200 feet from the end airport property off the end of Runway 3. A specification and aerial view of the location of the trees can be picked up at the airport terminal building at 543 Airport Rd Williamstown, WV  26187. A site view of the location and the trees is scheduled for Wednesday April 4. This will be the only opportunity the bidders will have to visit the site.

 

Bids must be submitted in writing on the bidder’s letterhead. The bid shall be submitted with a cost per tree for approximately 45 trees including the total cost for the topping of the trees and removal of debris from the property. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or original corporate surety Bid Bond with original power of attorney, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid, made in favor of âThe Wood County Airport Authorityã. No Bid will be considered unless it is so guaranteed. Facsimiles and copies will not be accepted, and will provide cause for the Bid to be rejected.

 

The Wood County Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in the Bids or bidding.
